Playing makeup is the ultimate idea of fun for Stevie and Celeste. That obsession is what inspired this activity, Make-Up Boards.
I started with some cardboard from an empty box of pull-ups then drew a face and hands with exaggerated features like extra-large eyes and fingernails so they would have lots of space to color. I covered the entire surface of each board with clear packing tape, and then I was ready to bring the girls in on the fun!
I set out chalk pens and a couple of wipes (I used the brand Water Wipes but I think those are a little to wet next time I will use regular wipes) and let them begin. I also warmed up the markers right before we started to avoid frustration while waiting for the paint to get to the tip.
Their focus on this lasted much longer than I thought possible, and they were so proud of their work.

Wiping the chalk paint off is easy and satisfying, and they didn’t need my help at all!

This project scores 10 out of 10 I can’t wait to don’t again! I hope you’ll give it a try and share with me what you create. For more fun follow me @twinningmommycolleen on Instagram.
