You didn’t think painting could get any more fun did you? I didn’t either, until I decided to experiment with letting Stevie and Celeste mix their own. The added appeal of stirring their own ingredients to make paint is what makes this so intriguing.
Here is what you’re going to need:
Hand Juicer-this tool makes crushing the berries VERY fun for little hands
Turmeric, Paprika, Thawed Frozen Berries -I used blueberries but frozen raspberries or black berries would work too I think they should be thawed frozen berries not fresh, thawed berries are mushier and easy for little hands to squish into paint!

when you are setting up exclaim “oh no I forgot the paint”, have your spices and berries on hand and then say something like “let’s try mixing our own with these ingredients”. From the second they heard “mix” Stevie and Celeste were sold and so excited to get started I didn’t have to do much more besides open the spices and berries. Using the hand juicer for squishing berries was our favorite part and it makes fun splatter designs on your paper too!
